Front Impact Transmission (FIT)

X-Fusion Delta 8 Downhill forks feature the proprietary Front Impact Transmission (FIT). FIT is a split steerer system that creates the most positive and precise connection between the fork and and bicycle possible. The bottom part of the steerer is precision fitted to the lower crown. The lower crown and steerer assembly comes up through the head tube and the upper crown and upper portion of the steerer is installed onto the fork and into the lower part of the steerer. By tightening the upper steerer into the lower steerer, it is possible to achieve a much more exact tightness on the headset allowing minimal friction and maximum engagement. This creates a solid and complete connection between the fork, headset and headtube making them basically one unit. This evenly and equally distributes stresses from impacts through the suspension and frame of the bike.
