ODI X-Fusion Team Press Launch
03/30/2010 / Ryan Condrashoff

The ODI and X Fusion racing programs have agreed to form as one. This alliance has developed both programs into one well founded squad. Team ODI X Fusion is proud to announce their team line up for 2010. The roster will include Sean “Griz” McClendon, Brad Oien, JD Swanguen and Ryan Condrashoff, who will be contesting the Pro GRT championship series and competing in select international events.

Sean McClendon returning to the program after being picked up mid season in 2009 has high expectation for himself. McClendon said, “My whole life revolves around boosting the American downhill scene. For a couple of years I helped cast the media spotlight on riders from our soil and now I’m back to do-battle with them at the races. It’s a childhood dream come true to be racing for Intense and I’m really happy to be back with X-Fusion and ODI.

Brad Oien spent the off season in Australia again because he can’t get enough racing in one hemisphere. Eager for the season to come he said, “2010 is going to be a good and productive year for everyone involved with the ODI X Fusion race program. I’m glad to retain my long running relationship with ODI and begin new ones with companies such as X Fusion!”

JD Swanguen is stepping into the filming world along with keeping his racing at the highest level. He said, “I enjoy showing the amazing life I lead and I couldn’t think of a better team to do it with.”

Ryan Condrashoff has taken on the responsibility of managing the team. Coming back from an injury in 2009 he said, “I am excited to work with the boys to make this our best season ever. 2010 will be an awesome season and thanks to all of our sponsors for making this dream a reality.”

Marketing Coordinator Wins Local Super D
03/23/2010 / X-Fusion

Last weekend was the first race of the CCCX spring series. The race series is located in Salinas, CA just down the road from the world famous Sea Otter Classic. The courses are usually on tight single track with some technical corners and no lack of pedalling.

Both John Hauer (X-Fusion Marketing Coordinator) and Tyler McCaul (X-Fusion Athlete) showed up to loosen their legs up before the Sea Otter Classic mid April. Tyler McCaul was riding his Carbon GT Force equipt with the 2010 Vengeance HLR fork and 2011 O2 RCX rear shock. Hauer was riding his Intense Tracer with the same suspension set up as Tmac.

This was Tmac's first time racing in one of these Super D's and placed 7th in the Pro Mens field. Hauer, who has been competing in the series for a number of years now had a solid run that was enough to take the win.

Jake Kinney Finishes Strong at the Fontana Winter Series
03/10/2010 / John Hauer

Jake Kinney has been consistent all winter in the Fontana Winter Series 4x. This last weekend was the final round of the series so he was looking for a solid finish to ensure a podium spot in the overall. He made it into the final which consisted of former 4x world champion Eric Carter. At the end of the day he would place 4th, but this would lock him in to the 3rd spot and on the podium for the series overall. He was stoked to finish consistently and get the 2010 season going on a positive note.

Jake's next focus will be getting ready for the Fontana City National and the Sea Otter Classic.

Tyler McCaul Update! Triple Whip
03/01/2010 / Tyler McCaul

Hey Everyone,

I've been in So Cal since Friday and it's been a blast.  I got to go ride a mega ramp with the Nitro Circus crew on Friday and I think it was the most fun day I've ever had riding my bike. Hanging out with all of those people that I've been watching in videos and on TV for so long was amazing.  Not to mention the jump was the best thing ever.  It was a great opportunity for me to learn some new stuff since it gave me way more airtime than a standard dirt jump. I've been wanting to do a triple tailwhip for a while now and I finally had a jump to do it on!  I was able to stick it first try and I was super pumped.  I didn't get both pedals but it was still the first one ever ridden out of on a mountain bike so I was pretty happy!  Here's a link to the video below...it already has 21,500 views on pinkbike and another 6,200 on youtube!  I never thought it was gonna be that big so it's a pretty cool feeling.

Now I'm in Riverside filming with Bjorn Aunet from Rockstar for his next video, "Barred for Life 2."  We've gotten to ride some super fun bmx style dirt jumps and we've gotten some good shots already.  After that he's coming up to my town and we're gonna shoot some DH riding there.  Before this whole trip I was in Sacramento doing some filming with Don Hampton for his video "Here We Go Again" which is premiering at Sea Otter this year.  Super excited to see that as well.

It's been a busy two weeks but it's all been worth it.  Can't wait to get home and chill at the beach for a day to relax!  Haha, talk to ya'll soon...
